Watched Wuthering Heights yesterday ( so I could avoid reading another Victorian era book) - well looks like the book is vastly different so we will consider it independently. Nevertheless, quite a mixed bag of a movie with a positive aftertaste. The first half was incredible with grand scenes, gothic music and tense but romantic storyline. The second half felt somewhat of a drag with sudden topsy-turns between "positive" and "negative" romance, probably sine qua non of obsessive love. Nevertheless, it does inspire plenty of emotions whether good or bad is a matter of moral judgement, outside the realm of cinematic expression. Very impressive acting by Margot Robbie, can't say the same for the dude though.
