Pakistan has very few tech startups. Most of the startups are "service startups": startups which are automating some service e.g. food delivery, grocery delivery, B2B, taxi hailing, online tickets etc. While some of these startups have a lot of potential, the tech behind them is fairly ordinary. Most of their valuation comes from the number of their users -- not due to the innovation in technology. As an example, Amazon is both a service (e-commerce) and a tech (AWS) startup. It's tech part is much more scalable and profitable than the service part. Pakistan needs more tech startups, where the innovation and intellectual property of the tech makes the startup valuable.
