@JonSedore @X_lifeGail The canvasser contribution varies wildly. I was out of the country half the time while some folks were putting in hours every single day.

I do have a simple question for y'all - do the numbers line up? 301k with thousands of volunteers literally stationed all over the province, large events with long lines (even in Arizona) and constant traffic to petition signing locations. 430k with much less volunteers, only a few pop up stations, no large events and 1 man in an RV travelling Alberta. I know that everyone with SFA followed the rules down to the blue pen. The scale of these 2 organizations do not align with the outcome. It makes me seriously question some things. I'm happy that the official number is over 700k signatures on citizen led referendum on a seperation question. Time for a referendum on Alberta Independence! Congratulations to Albertans! @JonSedore Do the numbers line up? Claiming to have broken 177k at the end of March, 90 days into collection. And then supposedly gathering another 40% of your total count in the last 25% of remaining time? Conveniently after the list of electors is leaked by the Centurion project?

@johnwtomkinson @burr3276 Why are you counting Stay Free's signatures before they are validated? Especially after claiming to jump 40% in the last few weeks, while groups advertised to join them to see the electors list and get 1,000 signatures "easy"

@burr3276 You are correct, I didn’t add 457k. I only combined them using 404,293 as the others 53k signatures were found to be invalid by Elections Alberta. FYI Both petitions propose a referendum. The difference is the wording of the referendum question.

The last Alberta general election saw 1,777,321 votes cast. Over 705,913 signatures have now been gathered from Albertans on two separate petitions, both asking for a provincial referendum on Albertas place in the Canadian confederation. It’s time to ask the question, @YourAlberta!

@JimboAlogo @ShaziGoalie It's actually 52,000 short of double And only because they lowered the threshold from 294k to 177k, and increased collection time from 90 days to 120. Under the old rules it would have failed. Forever Canada got 100,000 more with a month less to collect them.

300,000 signatures for Alberta independence just got delivered. Sounds big until you look closer. Signatures still need verification. Courts are already involved. RCMP investigating data issues. First Nations treaty rights could stop this entirely. This isn’t a referendum yet. It’s the beginning of a legal war

BREAKING: Alberta separatist organizers say they submitted more than 300,000 signatures to Elections Alberta in a push to trigger a referendum on whether the province should leave Canada. Stay Free Alberta delivered dozens of boxes of petition sheets to Elections Alberta’s Edmonton office Monday. The campaign says it collected well above the roughly 178,000 signatures required, though the total still needs to be verified by officials. If enough valid signatures are confirmed, Albertans could see a separation question on the ballot as early as October.

@thecritcomp @yegwave I didn't say the rules were the same. Stay Free got preferential treatment by having the threshold lowered by 120k signatures, an extra 30 days to collect, and a special exception to not have to pay the new $25,000 fee. Lots of lone stay free canvassers sharing on X too.

@ToGDionysus @yegwave No they didn’t. Lots of lone canvassers employing who knows what methods during their signature collection. The notion that the rules were the same for both initiatives is laughable and probably false.

@thecritcomp @yegwave Forever Canada needed ID, guideline updates put them closer to the front of instructions for clarity. They also needed to witness the signature, the part that was excluded by court ruling was individual notarized affidavits (expensive), and that applied to both initiatives.

@yegwave Incredible number considering the Forever Canada petition - didn’t need to verify IDs, we did - didn’t need to have witnesses, we did - worked over the spring/summer while we were out in the cold all winter Bring on the referendum baby! Direct democracy in action!

The fact is they gave access to the list unsupervised, rewarded pro-active canvassers with invite codes to give their friends/family access. And bragged about sending the list/app to foreign governments.

After verification, I would bet yours doesn't break the original 294k goal. Dumb neighbor bragging about a crime with a 100k penalty or up to 5 years in prison.

@BrianRoemmele While the concept of the music not being played by people was new, it was still written and crafted by people. When you completely remove life from the equation, no living being making creative decisions, there is nothing in the art to connect with. This isn't analogous to AI.

@deo_mister Counting is not their strong point, have you ever read their economic plan? Apparently if you stop paying a tax, you keep it in the revenue AND add the money you aren't paying as extra, plus you keep things like the federal transfers the taxes contributed to. 1-1=3

I suspect the whole lying and inflating the numbers is directly tied to the master plan of falsifying signatures on paper. The charade of we are a majority. No separatists, you are not the majority, not on any day of the week. JethroMath says 12k were present here. Not.

But you claim there is likely fraud, BUT it's coming from outsiders trying to sink the petition, even signing up as canvassers to do so? Really covering your bases, eh?

Here's a rebuttal from key separatist voice Jeffrey Rath in response to concerns of potential signature fraud on their petition. He says that it is the lefties who probably have committed the fraud, and will be seeking charges against them.

But I get the sense you're probably more in-line with deregulation and lower taxes.

@elenacute01 Looks like an Asian giant hornet (Murder hornet) which is an invasive species in many areas, and threatens local honey bee populations. That is probably a jar of gasoline, the fumes knock them out and kill them relatively quickly. Seeing the hive, this is probably a beekeeper
