A seal harvest/cull/slaughter is planned on Hay Island off Main-a-dieu. The island is part of Scatarie Island Wilderness Area. Killing starts as soon as weather allows. Just thought you should know.

@ns_environment Minister Halman. Going on 25 years + for NS Env Protected Area. In that time it has employed no planners of color, indigenous heritage or with handicap or disability. I am sure there are many qualified candidates that would add to the team at protected areas. Time for a change.

Minister Halman & ECC are at #COP15 in Montreal - the UN Biodiversity Conference. They look forward to listening/learning to bring best practices home for the benefit of NS, supporting the development of a global biodiversity framework & profiling how NS is working to save nature
