Haven't heard a word from Luke Pearce. Excellent reffing. Not trying the be the main character and its leading to a cracking game. #IREvSCO

@Aarontalbot4 @Caolan_Scully Ryan injured Yes - look at his all round game recently Stockdale’s doesn’t play Farrell’s plan well enough It’s contract time for Aki… What’s worrying? (We could do with a younger 7 coming through) Bealham or Clarkson? I believe Bealham’s the better scrummager

@Caolan_Scully I have my thoughts Where's James Ryan? Is Furlong fit enough? Stockdale deserved it from last week in my opinion. Bundee shouldn't be there. Worrying about the loose forwards. Is Bealham that guy to make the step up final game of the tournament? I trust Andy but I worry

My Dad, who was born in 1906, was a UUP member, Orangeman and Presbyterian (almost the three pillars of unionism) and could both speak and read Irish. Regarded it as part of the collective heritage post partition. The family had origins in Sligo and retained links for decades.

@thepaulwilliams Heavy powerful players get subbed before they get tired. The scrum has become about penalties, rather than the ball - soooo many incomplete scrums!!! Revert laws back to jeopardise possession rather than dull penalty opportunity.

I really don't like all this chatter about depowering the scrum. Powerful scrums, require heavy powerful players. Heavy powerful players get tired and leave space. Depowering scrums will mean lighter players and less space overall. Plus, I love a scrum 👊

@AnythingRugbyy @ajsrugby He most definitely was not good at Leinster!!! IMO his actions at the end of both C. Cup finals against La Rochelle lost us both games (the second one arguably less so). Worse, we should’ve been developing Frawley while he was being selected persistently.

@ajsrugby He's veen absolutely honking 🤣. Weird because he was good at Leinster and for Ireland. Also shocked how it took Gloucester until this year to realise that Atkinson is much better

@PhilAndrewPhoto Philip this is a genuine question, If you wanted to go for a pint on Saturday to watch the match, do you even have friend that you could ask to go? Like literally just one friend?

This is honestly a genuine question, when I see VDF waltzing back into the team, McCarthy & Ryan holding onto their places over Izzy & Edogbo, do the IRFU have a quota system where they force Andy Farrell to start a certain number of centrally contracted players in every game?

@TheInterProShow I would have swapped the hookers - Sheehan could bring better impact off the bench, and I might’ve dropped Loughman - who had a particularly off game against Italy - for Milne. Edogbo and Izzy unlucky, but I can understand the decisions.

@DrewPavlou Today, Ash Wednesday, is the start of Lent. As you take such an interest, yet are completely ignorant of the most basic fact, can I presume you are Islamophobic or racist?

The Mayor of London Sadiq Khan made posts celebrating Ramadan and Lunar New Year this year but ignored Lent - despite it starting on the same day as Ramadan. Imagine going back in time to the year 1916 and telling someone from England that in 100 years time the Mayor of London would publicly celebrate Ramadan and Lunar New Year but not Lent. They would assume that Britain had lost a major war and been colonised. Just an obvious massive world historic break in the cultural continuity of Britain and you’re supposed to just pretend it’s normal.
Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan@MayorofLondon

As Londoners come together to celebrate the start of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, our capital shines bright as a beacon of hope and diversity. From my family to yours: Ramadan Mubarak.

It’s a perfectly legitimate point to make on a day when two religious festivals coincide. If you are the mayor of a culturally diverse city, you can’t just ignore one lot of people in favour of another.
Mehdi Hasan@mehdirhasan

To be clear, I just checked: Vine has never mentioned Shrove Tuesday on this site before, ever. She literally invoked it just to take a dig at a Muslim mayor and Muslims celebrating Ramadan. She hasn’t asked any white Christian politicians to say ‘Happy Shrove Tuesday’ either.

@Flange323 @SammyMorrison82 Windsor - £28m Ulster - £16m Casement - £155m (potentially rising to £190m) Hmmm can't imagine why anyone would think these things are different.

The TUV motion was to claim a % of profit from Casement from non-GAA events to taxpayers so it can be invested in GPs, the economy, jobs etc. David didn’t speak in the debate because he knows if he would have said this in the Assembly his dishonesty would have been called out
David Honeyford MLA@dhoneyford

The TUV had the Assembly agenda today. They used it to target Casement Park. Not jobs. Not GP access. Not growing our economy. Just stirring the same old division. People want delivery. Not dog whistles. I’m here to build a shared future, not refight the past. #buildCasement #casementpark #sport #SharedFuture
