Metro Narcotics Agents had been conducting surveillance on a subject as part of that investigation. The subject was located in the 2300 block of East Lohman Avenue near McDonald’s, where agents attempted to make contact.Shots were fired during the interaction. The suspect, identified as 45-year-old David Gallegos Jr., was pronounced deceased at the scene. A loaded 9mm handgun in the suspect’s possession was recovered.
