Can anyone actually explain what LinkedIn’s SSI score is good for? 🙂 Plenty of experts insist you need to be in the top 1%, yet not one of them has answered my question with anything resembling hard evidence. I’m not asking for a feeling. I want data. A study. Literally anything. And before anyone jumps in: no, a higher score does not give you better search visibility, post reach, or profile views. I’ve ghostwritten content for dozens of people and tracked their stats alongside their SSI scores. The correlation is not there. I think the SSI is the horoscope of LinkedIn metrics. Vague enough to feel personal. Just credible enough to share. Zero proven impact on actual results. I’ve asked more people than I can count whether a high SSI score ever moved the needle on their outreach or sales. The answers fell into exactly two categories: “I don’t know” or “nothing.” Not a single data point in between. So to everyone posting their SSI score, I have one genuine question: what, specifically, did it do for you? 🙂

I was asked to chair a higher education hiring conference- they wanted 5 promotional blog posts, got to keep the IP and the pay was a comp ticket - not even flight or hotel. I was also offered a thousand bucks to shout out a vendor @linkedin. Guess which option I went with?

@abarrallen @saltzman_jason Oh absolutely agree. I've never seen them do it but if argue it's well within their definitional remit. Agree though operational efficiency and effectiveness strike teams may well be a route ahead. Can't see it coming from TI though personally.

Same old story with Ireland. The ref dictates how they play. Strong ref polices their breakdown work and they can’t get going. Weak ref, like today, and they’re allowed to get rolling and they’re not going to lose many sides. But ultimately Mitchell’s 1v1 D cost them the game
