Weird even by Langford standards:
"The grant has been made possible by the city’s manufactured home park redevelopment policy, which was amended in 2007 to include a reserve fund for purposes such as this.
However, after the Tri-Way Park Residents Association submitted their application last year, the city discovered no evidence of its existence.
“While council directed that a reserve be established in 2007, there is no record that such a fund was in fact set up,” said a report presented to council March 16. “Nor is there any record to indicate that there has ever been an application for funding under this policy.”"
I wonder what the dollar value would be for 10% of all property taxes collected on all manufactured home parks *SINCE 2007*? And we're to believe nobody applied for any money until now? In 2026? And that's how it was learned that the fund was never created in the first place?
Ok! Sounds totally plausible...
