📚 BOOK CLUB 📚 My top reads from the past month incoming I've spent my Sunday writing my little reviews... hope you enjoy my musings as much as I enjoy writing them! I've been reading like a woman possessed over the past month. Book reviews featuring: an elegant meditation on memory, morally slippery antiheroes and slow burn novellas (superb for if you're struggling to read atm) that really caught me off guard... in a brilliant way. Reminder I never post about books that I didn't personally enjoy. So these are all genuine reccomendations. A note on how I do my reviews: I turn down pages and write my thoughts directly onto the page then collate them when I have time. Like I've done today my perfect Sunday.

Final outfit reveal of Cheltenham 💔 And I may have thrown in a slight curveball… jeans. After a whole week of race-day dressing, it just felt right for the last day. I rather love it - although I suspect it might divide opinion. So tell me… jeans at Cheltenham, completely wrong, or quite fun for the final day? What a week it’s been!! 🐎

Day 3 Cheltenham outfit reveal!! I fear the pony bag may be the accessory of the week... 🐴 I saw it and thought… if there was ever a week to carry a tiny horse around with me, it’s Cheltenham. 🫨 Slightly ridiculous? Possibly. But also quite fabulous? I’m desperate to know what you think… is it genius or utter madness? Xxx

Day 2 at Cheltenham, here I come. 🫡 The faux fur has entered the chat… Partly for warmth (because it’s chilly out here), partly because I live for anything animal print… Race week really is the one time you can lean into it all, hats, gloves, layers, the lot. But tell me honestly… is it a yes to the faux fur?? Very eager to hear your thoughts today! 🐎

Day 1 Cheltenham outfit reveal… ♥️ and I’ve gone for RED… which may be completely mad, but I rather love it. You certainly won’t miss me on the course, think of it as my way of saying hello, I’m here! I’ve been up since dawn far too excited to get going. Nothing beats that first day feeling!! Now be honest… is red for the races completely outrageous or do we love it? Eager to hear your thoughts! Let the fun begin… 🐎

Packing for Cheltenham… 🏇🫡 This is NOT a drill. Consider this your official warning. Months of preparation have gone into this moment, from meticulous outfit planning to intense weather monitoring 🫨. I can’t wait to show you this years looks… they’ve been a serious operation. If you need me over the next few days, you know exactly where I’ll be… The Guinness Village. Obviously 🙃. Who else is as excited as me for next week??

3️⃣ DAYS UNTIL THE 2026 CHELTENHAM FESTIVAL

One year married to you. I had a whole fantasy about what marriage would look like since I was about five years old and honestly? What we have is a thousand times better. The life we’ve built is extraordinary - the highs, the lows, all of it. Me and you my love, forever ♾️

I’ve had problematic skin for 15 years. So when a breakout appears… I don’t spiral anymore. I’ve learnt the hard way that panicking makes it so much worse. Throwing every product at it? BIG NO. Calm skin behaves better than cross skin. When it comes to covering. Less is always more. Start small and build slowly. What I actually use: @ErborianUK CC Red Correct @EsteeLauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation & Concealer @BurtsBeesUK Tinted Lip Balm  (a bright lip is a distraction tactic) The goal isn’t to plaster it into submission. This is NOT the hair I expected from a £39.99 Amazon hot brush 🤯 In all honesty, I didn’t have high hopes. As a loyal Dyson girl, part of me didn’t want this to be good… which makes this slightly awkward. It’s quick, it’s easy, and if I can use it then anyone can lol. The Amazon hot brush was £39.99. I read… A LOT 🙃 I treat books as my little escape, I don’t watch TV, so whenever I get a quiet moment, you’ll usually find me with a book in hand. A little reading rule I swear by! If a book hasn’t hooked you by chapter four, ditch it. Life’s too short and there are too many amazing books out there. You definitely don’t need to be a big reader to enjoy these!! Some are quick, some are cosy, some you’ll think about for weeks. I’ve just whizzed through them because I’m a fast and slightly obsessive… (borderline unwell) reader. I asked @ChatGPTapp to work out how many words I’ve read this month, and I nearly fell off my chair. Maybe I need to get out more 🤣. I’d love to know, have you read any of these? Or is there a book you swear I need to add to my list?

Acne and makeup? I used to think the two couldn’t coexist… I’ve battled acne for over 15 years… so trust me when I say, makeup hasn’t always felt fun. It used to be something I HAD to do before leaving the house… now, it’s something I actually enjoy. This is my quick 5 minute everyday routine, nothing heavy, or complicated, just products that work with my skin and make me feel a bit more pulled together (even if the rest of me is not 🫠). I now share a wellness routine with the Mont dog 🧖🏼‍♀️🫧. Because he is my first born child after all 🫡. My acne wonder products after 15 years of heartbreak 🤍. The painful flare ups, the scarring, the feeling like nothing ever truly works. It’s exhausting. BUT this routine changed everything. Try It On With Toff: Hibernation Mode After the madness of December, I’ve fully surrendered to a slower pace in January.
