Narrative he didnt do it for LFC last season is a myth as well.
Himself & Nunez sacrificed themselves to the get the best out of Salah.
And even on top of that he got 25 goal contributions which outside Mane & Salah is the best in the PL era for a winger for LFC👍

Selling Luis Díaz is a sackable offence.
Hughes and Edwards should be sacked for that decision alone.

Look at Bayern pressing and attacking PSG in Paris. Creating chances and PSG struggling to contain them.
Yet I was told your only option away to PSG was to play cowards football. Drop your best goalscorer for the entire game, sit back, defend and hope.
You have to at least try.

@HendrickD82 Id love him to stay - he’s more versatile and a better passer, but he’s not better off the ball or carrying the ball. Jones’ stats this season (pink) are much improved from last (green), but he’s nowhere near Grav off the ball.

The only thing Gravenberch is better at is carrying over distance but Curtis is good at that too and he's a better dribbler in tight spaces.

@mjcolclough @scottjwillis I’m not outraged. Your man said he wasn’t frozen out and I merely pointed out that he played more than 45 minutes in a league game once from 30th November to 22nd Feb when you played 14 games, which I think we can all agree is less than you’d expect during that many games.

Arteta really needs to get better at freezing players out. It’s probably not very effective to freeze a player out giving a player 9 appearances and 5 starts. This went on for months!

I don’t buy the “superstar” argument with Arteta. He froze Eze out of team for months because he failed to track Matty Cash against Villa, tells you about how he actually sees the game. You can’t accommodate superstars if you don’t have the grace to tolerate a slight defensive trade-off.

@mjcolclough @scottjwillis You certainly did, but that doesn’t mean he was included. No PL starts in nearly 2 months in the middle of the season doesn’t scream trust, but he’s showing how good he is now.

@scottjwillis From the Wolves game after that Villa one where he was taken off at half time he didn’t start a PL game until 12th Feb, when he again came off at half time - that’s 9 PL games in a row he didn’t start.

Amazing how lots of self appointed game theory experts confidently asserting that blue is the stupid choice. But every time this poll is run blue wins. Not only is the “game theory” answer predicting the wrong outcome, its explanatory power is based on it being able to predict the right answer. So it’s doubly wrong.
