I know Gettleman really wanted Justin Herbert. Was the worst kept secret in 2018 going into 2019.
And then he changed course once Herbert went back to Oregon and the he fell in love with Jones.

Not sure if Gettleman would have passed on Saquon if he traded down and he was still there.
From what I remember:
Gettleman wanted Saquon.
Shurmur wanted Allen.
The GM generally gets the final say on what name goes on the draft card sent up to Goodell.

I attended a wedding tonight.
Two 20 year olds getting married.
Great families, super mature.
