@essexwindyfarm It gets better. Oil supplier MD emails (Tuesday) apology and offers to honor the order at a what is now “heavily discounted price” held for 4 days but much more than original. Now national comparison company offering to honor the order at original price. It’s unbelievable

@essexwindyfarm Had my 28th Feb made heating oil order cancelled by national comparison company today. They’re blaming supplier. Supplier says they notified them on Thursday. Supplier however can deliver to me at a new price more than double what I paid! Oh, and the refund will take 5-7 days!

Not just heating oil… overheard a red diesel price of £1.30 earlier. Thats DOUBLE what it was 2 weeks ago. Demand for red is very predictable. Tell me these fuel companies haven’t had supply prices nailed down for months?

@Kenya_Agron I changed to predominantly pre em a few years ago and a little bit of post em tidy up if needed but tried to avoid. Definitely a better system and no tracking through standing maize!

We actually have very few post emergence herbicides in Kenya for maize, that are safe on the crop and effective on our weeds. I have definitely shifted towards strong pre ems in recent seasons and let the rotation do the work for us - less money shelled out to chemical co's and a stronger crop as a result; who's fooling who here? 🤔

To all the Supermarkets and big commercial stores that operate 'Self Check-outs'....... You are heading towards almost exclusively self-checkout now. Today I went shopping at one such store and the lady checking receipts at the exit was stopping everyone. I didn't choose to participate in that nonsense, I had already filled my cart, emptied my cart and scanned the items, refilled my cart and so I just skipped the exit line and left. I heard her saying "Umm - Excuse me “ as I kept walking and raised the receipt above my head, leaving the store. You can either trust me to do self-checkout, or you can put your cashiers back in place like it used to be. • I'm not interested in proving that I did your job for you. • If you want me to be a cashier with no training then that's your problem not mine. • Keep employing young people and give them job opportunities. YOU DON'T PAY ME TO SCAN MY OWN SHOPPING. YOU DON’T GIVE ME STAFF DISCOUNT FOR WORKING FOR YOU.
