As it stands, I see 3 options. 1) PMJT voluntarily dissolves parliament and calls an election. 2) Non-confidence vote that forces an election. 3) PMJT resigns, giving a new leader an incredibly short runway to right the ship. Anything else seems too far-fetched.

@adhilhussain97 @EvanSambasivam On the other side of the coin, the white upper middle class demographic in the suburbs on which the democrats heavily relied on the past few cycles to win elections perceived the economic situation to be OK at worst, and so they felt no urgency to turn out to the polls

In 2016, many folks voted for Trump, assured that he'd simmer down his rhetoric once in office. In 2024, we know that he was much worse than we could have imagined. He just won the popular vote. America would sooner elect a treasonous fascist than a woman. I'm speechless.

@adhilhussain97 @EvanSambasivam I think it was the economy still being in rough shape from the perspective of the blue collar demographic, which many Latinos belong to and the perception that right wing candidates do a better job at handling the economy

Today is beautiful but with the Toronto Marathon, everyone downtown is basically trapped. East-west travel is basically totally non-functional today. Really just goes to show how desperately we need comprehensive and separated transit through downtown.
