My statement on the news that Liberal Paul Chiang called for a Conservative candidate to be taken to the PRC Consulate in Toronto in return for a PRC bounty: It’s outrageous that after years of turning a blind eye to Chinese Communist Party (CCP) foreign interference, warnings from experts and a public inquiry, that the Liberals continue to play footsie with foreign interference putting the security of Canadians at risk. Liberal candidate Paul Chiang in Markham-Unionville called for a Conservative candidate to be turned over to the authoritarian regime in Beijing in return for a CCP bounty. This is outrageous, and it’s no accident. It’s part of a long time pattern of Liberals neglecting Canada’s national security in favour of their own partisan interest. This expression of support for the CCP’s illegal and unjust bounty on a Canadian citizen is disturbing, particularly to the countless Canadians of Chinese descent who have been targeted and harassed by the communist regime. Mark Carney must immediately disavow these comments and remove Paul Chiang as a Liberal candidate. My fellow Canadians, it’s time to see the Carney government for what it is: The same old Liberals.
