Opioids are safe and effective today, just like they have been for over 5000 years. Adults should decide what to ingest or do to their body. End the Drug War!!!

@FrankWi43886224 @BasedMikeLee True, so the evidence would have to be overwhelming to convince the public to return to it. Especially since the society is entirely different

@TomLibertarian @BasedMikeLee I am 64 also. Neither of us is old enough to see what life was like without taxes. A good example, that I am very familiar with, is the Amish. They cover all of each others expenses, or volunteer labor to help, for cases where (for example) the father in a family dies.

Jesus was talking to people—not governments—when He told us to be generous when caring for those in need. Americas founders understood this. So should we.

I didn’t make up the number, I looked up income against entitlement/transfer payments. The truth is that in a system you’re advocating people wouldn’t help everyone who needed help. People would help kids and others they thought deserve help, but there would be a significant portion of people that would be ignored. Crime would spike black markets would explode, human trafficking of vulnerable people would be an epidemic. I’m 64 and I’ve seen what charities exist and who gets the help. Unfortunately I don’t trust that charities would be able to do what you think they could

@TomLibertarian @BasedMikeLee I would point out that years ago, before income taxes; social security taxes; etc, people did contribute more to charities. Now they are taxed to death. Also, I do not believe your 20% figure. If communities were providing the charity, they would remove many of the scammers.

🚨 BREAKING: President Trump has vowed to MASS PARDON his top admin officials and staffers when he leaves office — WSJ Good. The left is going to GO AFTER these patriots relentlessly. "I'll pardon everyone who has come within 200 feet of the Oval," Trump said in a "recent meeting to laughs" Remember: JOE BIDEN went CRAZY with mass pardons when he left office. The left has ZERO grounds to complain about this if and when it does happen! PARDON AWAY!

Rent is always sensitive to available inventory. It's one of those inelastic resources. Sure, there are lots of empty spaces out in low pop'n areas, but urban areas can't just magically pop out new inventory when the demand dramatically escalates as has been the case prior to Trump '24. Infrastructure (schools, hospitals, transportation, etc) also has expansion limits. To pretend that "resources are always expanding" without acknowledging the stress it places upon communities is willful and irresponsible blindness. Technology is amazing, but there are certain basic things that can't be just teched into existence without serious sacrifice of investments. Opportunity costs. Do you think money itself is infinite? That's what produces inflation.

The U.S. birth rate continues to decline this year, even after the record low in 2025: February 2025: 275,165 babies February 2026: 269,258 babies That means that there were 5,907 fewer babies were born this February than there were last February. America needs life—and more lives! Governments have no business telling people to have more kids, but wherever possible—and especially when facing rapidly declining birth rates—they should avoid policies that needlessly make having children more difficult and expensive.

The REAL REASON they hate President Trump is because he's ending what they cherish most - CHILD TRAFFICKING! I proudly cast my first ever vote for Trump at 18 in 2024 and don't regret it ONE BIT. I just compiled this complete list of actions Trump has taken against child trafficking as President: - Feb 9, 2017: Trump signed Executive Order to prevent international human trafficking. - Apr 11, 2018: Trump signed FOSTA to hold websites accountable for online sex trafficking. - Dec 21, 2018: Trump signed Abolish Human Trafficking Act to protect survivors. - Jan 9, 2019: Trump signed Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act authorizing $430M against trafficking. - Aug 4, 2020: Trump allocated $35M for safe housing for trafficking victims. - Jul 4, 2020: Melania Trump wore an Alexander McQueen dress with sketches by child sexual abuse victims for awareness. - Oct 20, 2020: DHS launched a new center to fight trafficking. - May 19, 2025: Trump signed TAKE IT DOWN Act to force platforms to remove deepfakes of children within 48 hours. - Nov 19, 2025: Trump signed Epstein Files Transparency Act to release millions of Epstein documents. - Jan 23, 2026: Trump signed Trafficking Survivors Relief Act to let victims vacate convictions and expunge records. - Apr 9, 2026: Melania Trump called for Congress to hold public hearings for Epstein victims to testify under oath. - 2025–2026 (ongoing): Trump continues to locate thousands of missing children and disrupted trafficking networks. @TomLibertarian @just_in_brown @BasedMikeLee I didn't realize our country's geography and resources were expanding that fast to meet the new demand. Or did you think we should try colonizing other countries harder? Maybe we should all learn to code? In any event, thanks for the brilliant econ lesson!

You say it’s not fixed then you say housing is fixed. It’s not fixed, the problem is government interference not and economic issue. Let people build houses and apartments. Remove regulations to supercharge building. There would be full employment in the building trades if the government got out of the way. I’m not going to support isolationism, and America alone, while telling everyone around the world to go the hell.

I don’t assume a fixed economic pie. I assume that competition at the lowest rungs of the labor ladder distorts life trajectories. These people have to live somewhere, and as artificial demand, they prop up rental investors while also taking away access to fixed assets like homes that are needed to start a family. They are DIRECT competitors for entry level livelihoods of young Americans.

Masters in Econ here. You have no clue what you're on about 1. Empirical evidence confirms theory: Expanded labor supply crushes real wages 2. Our landmass isn't growing. That IS a fixed pie unless you want to pave public lands like Yellowstone etc

@just_in_brown @BasedMikeLee Some basic grasp of economics is in order. Your argument fails because it assumes a fixed economic pie and the nonsense Trumps been spouting that someone loses in every economic transaction. That’s absurd

The most fertile people in a population are young people. They’re also the poorest. The tens of millions of people “desperately wanting to come to our country” are direct competitors for entry level jobs, assets and everything else required to start a life. Letting in millions of working age adults all at once sidelines American kids growing into adulthood and suppresses family formation.

@Borneo_Stan @Seven7Alexandra @BasedMikeLee You base that on what? A vocal minority of immigrants? Most people assimilate because we’re still here mostly Christian and outside an infinitesimal number of politicians you can’t get elected unless you’re a believer in God. I could go on

@Seven7Alexandra @BasedMikeLee I’m not a racist, or bigot, if someone wants to join the USA and assimilates into our society and system of governance why should anyone care how much melanin is in their skin? I do think that migration of people that can’t assimilate shouldn’t be allowed to become citizens.

@TomLibertarian @BasedMikeLee Most federal programs should be discontinued. The government spends far too much. Most didn't fall off a ladder, yet they take. The rest of us are robbed continually our entire lives without a single 'thank you' for paying the tab. I'm sick of it and finding ways out.

I looked it up to find out what level of giving would cover everyone covered today by federal tax supported programs. This was everyone earning an income. As far as half the people take, that depends on how you define your terms. Me for example I’m on permanent disability after a fall from a ladder. So I paid into these programs for 25 years before my accident and now I’m disabled, or as you call me a taker. Simplistic thinking is just another way of saying wishful thinking.

I understand, I’m just pointing out that if the Republicans would like to see the federal government out of helping people everyone in the country would have to give at least 20% of their income to charity to make up for it lest we just go with survival of the wealthy. Pretty sure that would not be ok with Jesus
