Great summary here, and, overall, the AI Action Plan looks like a good strategy for progress. Of course, execution counts for everything and there are lots of moving pieces in the 90 point plan.
Joseph Nelson@josephofiowa

Today the US is unveiling its Action Plan to win the AI race, which has been six months in the making @DavidSacks outlines 3 core pillars that guide the 90 concrete recommendations the administration will pursue — 1. Innovation. “You have to out-innovate the competition.” Helping startups keeps the US at the forefront. “You can’t regulate your way to being first.” 2. Infrastructure. Investing in data centers and energy. There will be categorical AI exceptions for, e.g. AI power generation to happen on federal lands 3. Ecosystem. “The companies that build the largest developer ecosystems and app stores are the ones that win. The US has to dominate by creating the AI stack for the rest of the world.” Cultivating talent, data, and tooling is key.

Intel strongly urges Congress to come together to revise the Internal Revenue Code Section 174. Eliminating the ability to deduct R&D tax expenses has reversed nearly 70 years of policy and will hurt U.S. jobs, innovation and national security. wsj.com/articles/u-s-c…

It's been 75 years since physicists Walter Brattain and John Bardeen made the first working transistor + over half a century since semiconductors began shipping commercially. Today, the transistor continues to drive Moore's Law and address the growing demand for compute.
