Is it a hot take to say that I like that they restored him a bit? It's something the crew would've done had he not been used as a resin mould base. It's kinda like what was partially done to Percy, just decade's later.

I’m like 90% sure the way it was restored was more or less to have a happy medium of it being…recognizable as Thomas but also not taking away from its final “show” condition Even if said condition was a sanded down hulk. Everything here looks removable sooo

I saw people giving this temporary restoration bad mouth but hot take, I think its best like this? Its the original unpainted body with the addition of vinyl lining and small 3D printed pieces, both of which are easily removable to retain its original condition

Perspex Thomas lives on the Island of Sodor without 6 small wheels, a short stumpy funnel, or a short stumpy dome. He is now a part of the @ogthomasfan collection. This was a non-permanant polish up while undergoing preservation and more will be revealed in due time
