@JoePostingg We don't need that, we have tax refunds. You pay 50% to the state but you get a lot back if you're good at paperwork, and more if you're good at lying with plausible deniability. It's great.

Why do effective altruists mostly try to stop/prevent things? Examples: Prevent AI risk & biorisk, eliminate diseases, decrease the amount of factory farming… (They do try to create/build stuff, but mostly as instrumental goals) Shouldn't the ratio be 50-50, a priori?
