FT: @stlCITYsc wins 2-1 and has their 1st back to back wins since Sept 2025 and their 1st ever win against LAFC! It was a LWB showcase as CITY exploited the spaces given enough for Totland and Santos to put CITY over the top. One of the gutsiest wins I can recall seeing at Energizer w/an outpouring of emotion from both players and fans at the whistle! #AllForCITY

On the backs of the subs: Löwen and Joyner connecting for the go ahead goal. Hartel and Totland played key roles w/Tots earning the other goal too. A slow start but a 2nd half masterful comeback and excellent finish to see this one out. The draw for the quarterfinals are Thursday AM. CITY’s Open Cup hopes are alive and well! #AllForCITY

@j_clem Same old story, weeknight, poor marketing, weather, etc. But mainly, I think this is a reflection on the state of the club. Most casual fans know CITY has been getting worse each year and there is zero momentum/excitement about the on field product.

We can't talk about the match tonight without talking about the attendance. As one of the guys whose gone on socials and podcasts talking about the history and significance of the tournament and how St. Louis cares about it;. tonight didn't show it. I'm disappointed. And I'm curious, why do you think more didn't show out for tonight's match?

For the first ever CITY goal in Frisco, not a ton of analysis is needed - this was simply a beautiful curled cross in from Edelman that found Timo on the back post - note that had he not gotten there, Becher was also in position to make a play on the ball due to poor defensive positioning from Deedson, who was basically standing by himself not doing much instead of tracking back to mark Becher. Timo did a nice job of getting in an onside position after the initial corner from Santos and made a well executed run and finish.

There was Soccer talk but the amount of negativity towards this team this city this country and their overall unhappiness is something I choose not to expose myself to what a par of unhappy humans.

I would strongly encourage people to give this one a listen. Abby & Nathan did a fantastic job of expressing what a lot of fans are feeling about the recent controversy surrounding CITY.

@StLouligans Why is it that in arguably the “best” soccer league in the world, I’ve not seen one political activism flag being flown? But here, the home of US soccer that is St. Louis, their team has been on a downward spiral since the 3rd quarter of season 1 and this is the biggest worry?
