These types of activities (creative, cathartic, therapeutic..,) are amazingly effective at helping manage stress, anxiety, recovery from trauma, they im engage the limbic system, act as meditations that quiet the mind, allowing for subconscious processes to sort out and process the stress of life. It’s non-cost invasive, person centered activities that are self validating. These are the reasons I first began making Longboards’s back in 1999in Virginia and would later became Sasquatch Skateboards after I Moved to Santa Barbara in 2001. You nailed it my friend.
