CHP leader Özel: 'This party was established during a battle of life and death. So we are familiar with struggle'.
I think this is well thought statment, underscoring CHP's role as the state-founding party, without wich one cannot imagine modern Turkey.

The shattered entrance of the CHP’s historic headquarters is more than damage to a building. It is the image of a democracy being battered in real time. Turkish police stormed the main opposition party’s Ankara HQ with tear gas and rubber bullets after a court ruling against its leadership. Erdoğan’s Turkey is choosing force over pluralism. Europe must choose democracy — clearly, loudly, and without excuses.

A day after Erdoğan speaks with Trump, he has shut down Bilgi University, among Turkey’s leading private universities, by decree, without explanation. Bilgi had been a thorn on his side. The timing is unlikely to be coincidental. Hours earlier, also after the Erdoğan-Trump exchange, a court effectively replaced the leader of the main opposition party, CHP. It looks like Erdoğan received a green light to turn Turkey into an even harsher dictatorship.

All these articles ignore one fundamental starting point: does anyone really believe Turkey's post 2002 leaders (or even earlier would have been willing to pool large part of sovereignty to Brussels' supra-national bodies? Let's not fool ourselves.

The Turkish company that operates Clash Report is called Monolog Medya.
Monolog Medya's director and owner, Cüneyt Polat, is a former Digital Media Director at Turkey's state broadcaster TRT.
Monolog Medya lists two clients on its website. One of them is TÜRGEV — the charitable foundation of the Erdoğan family. It's unclear what services Monolog provides the foundation.
Monolog Medya also operated backend servers for Teknofest — Turkey's state-backed technology festival run by Selçuk Bayraktar's T3 Foundation.
Selçuk Bayraktar is Erdoğan's son-in-law and owner of Baykar, Turkey's flagship drone manufacturer.

Well, strategic autonomy should also mean not to generate long-term dependencies on authoritarian regimes. This is why questions of Turkey's capabilities cannot and should not be discussed separate from Turkish domestic regime.
