Great listen as ever @GasCastPodcast I usually find myself agreeing with you. No mention of Ritchie Smallwood and his pivotal roll in turning our season around missed the mark in my view. My player of the season since Jan. MSH goal away at Grimsby was my goal of the season!

Today is the 41st anniversary of the Bradford City fire, one of English football's darkest days: 56 supporters were killed in the disaster. Our thoughts are with the family and friends of all those affected today. #BCAFC

In 2005, James Anderson (@lancscricket) dismissed David Sales of Northants. In 2026, James Anderson dismissed James Sales of Northants, David Sales's son, who was only 2 years old when Jimmy dismissed his dad. Talk about longevity #CountyChampionship #Cricket 🌹

Daily Mail. Always on the wrong side of history. It started with support for Hitler, Mussolini and Oswald Mosley. Continued with fawning coverage and praise for Johnson even as Brexit shown to be disastrous. Worshipped Truss, then Farage and Reform. Now a cheerleader for Trump.

There were five local council by elections last night. Reform UK lost out on three of them Importantly: they lost in Kent — a Reform stronghold, and they also lost a seat that they previously held in Durham — Darren Grimes' patch. Those two facts are significant. How do I see the 'news' being represented this morning on this place? Two headlines displayed about Reform winning. The third headline is also about Reform UK. Your daily reminder that this is a tiny minority political party that commands 90% of the coverage across socials and broadcast media. We can see how much money they are raking in, and they need it to pay for this number one slot across the media.

Why does everyone force introverts to “leave their comfort zone” but no one forces extroverts to shut up for awhile?

Caps don’t win automatic work and they don’t make a brilliant pundit either. The way you communicate, articulate yourself, do your research, inform your audience, how likeable you are and the chemistry you have with your panel are what makes a brilliant pundit.

Something very sinister is happening in the UK: 25% of voters believe people crossing in small boats are the largest share of migrants Truth: 2% 44% think refugees/asylum seekers are the majority of migrants Truth: 16% 48% believe most migrants here are “illegal” Truth: 4%.
