@Becs @kevorkian82 School principal here, we no longer teach the tamariki about stranger danger, in the (thankfully rare) case that they are grabbed or assaulted on the street there is very clear evidence showing that it's most likely a stranger that will help them

Thanks to all the MrBeast allegations coming out my 11yo daughter is now asking what s.x offenders are and asked me what to do if it happened to her. “Tell me. Immediately” Until our kids have kids of their own they won’t understand the extent parents will take to protect them.

@MrZachG Math is not hard. It’s perceived hard because we don’t focus on building good math foundations in kids. Without a good foundation in calculation skills, it will be hard to do any math.

Math is hard for most kids… too hard. We need to make it easier by teaching the smaller problems that are inside of more complex problems to mastery. And we need to distribute the material over time so that “once it comes up it never goes away.”
