HOT TAKE Just because you have a platform doesn't mean you must talk about things other people find important. We are obviously responsible for NOT saying/doing certain things. Like, don't want to encourage people to be assholes, sexist, racist, etc. Outside of that, you can do whatever YOU want with YOUR platform. If your purpose for getting into content was to inspire others and inform people about topics you find important, then that's in your right and I fully support that. If your purpose was to make a career doing what you love while meeting new people and nothing else, that is ALSO fine. And you're not a bad human being for doing so. So, if something bothers you so much and you feel it needs to be talked about, then build your OWN platform and do it yourself! It's no one else's responsibility to be equally passionate about the same things you are.
