@TonySierra16 @marketswithmay Most of the blame falls on Sorkin who knew full well how the acquisition would work, but was being intentionally obtuse. $GME has a long history of share price manipulation by the powers that be.

$gme… every time he goes on his articulation of the deal gets better. I’m so pleased to see this as the case. I think he likely still needs to win over 21% of the smaller shareholders… but I have reviewed bylaws to know for sure if there’s not something else. x.com/PhantomBlack69…

@SFarringtonBKC @marketswithmay I understand and Sorkin is trash. I just think he should have kindly and patiently answered dumb or even bad faith questions for the benefit of his business. Im sure you have done it and I do it all the time no matter how frustrating it is.

@marketswithmay @TonySierra16 I've seen bad interviews on podcasts with 25 followers. Sorkin is a professional, his smug condescension was palpable. He knows how to prepare for and execute a good interview. Sorkin was being smarmy and Cohen was being uncooperative

@SFarringtonBKC @marketswithmay But he is a CEO and shouldnt be emotional or seeking revenge on an interview (on likely the largest financial news show). I was considering a GME position after your writeup. I heard the interview live and was shocked. He should have not done the interview or done it cheerfully

@marketswithmay Ryan Cohen was getting revenge on CNBC for all the trash talk they do about $GME. He can articulate well enough

Is Ryan high af here? This is not a CEO you could ever get behind. Sorkin asks a straight forward question How do you come up with the money to acquire a company nearly 4 times your size and he can’t answer a basic question EBay need to laugh at this
Exec Sum@exec_sum

BREAKING: Andrew Ross Sorkin challenges GameStop CEO Ryan Cohen on how the company plans to finance the $56B eBay acquisition, claiming the math doesn’t add up. Cohen appears unamused by the questions and simply says 50/50 cash and stock.

@TheLongInvest You are missing years worth of background on this. It's an act. This is how he has been treated by "Financial Media" his whole career and this is his chance to get some revenge.

@TheLongInvest Self made billionaire who completely turned around the balance sheet of $GME to a company that is now purchasing something 5x larger than their MC. So from bankruptcy to buying EBay in 5 years but he’s not someone you can get behind? Hilarious

Yet another “lone wolf”. Is there really such a thing. Who/what motivated him? Who helped him? Unlikely this guy bought a gun locally in DC. Somehow an untrained teacher travelled from California and got through rings of security at a static Secret Service location in the nation’s capital. Not taking anything away from those who jumped into action but this does not seem like everything”worked as it should have”. The guy should never have made it that far.

Think it thru...gets on a flight to DC with his firearms in checked baggage. Upon arrival, heads to the hotel where he has reservations. Drops his bags and firearms in his room, heads to the local sporting goods shop, buys ammo. Goes back to the hotel, he is already partly inside security. Don't know the storyline after he gets to his room, but doesn't make it thru the checkpoint when he attempts his mayhem.

Well thats odd. -Theres only around 100 individuals with the name Cole Allen in USA -The odds you would write a random name in a tweet are presumably low, unless its some bot racket I dont know about that just does this same thing for every possible name. -Its the only tweet on account -The Pepe avatar (which could have been changed after) I hate feeding into these sorts of distractions that we'll all forget about in a day, but this is weird.
