Jimmy Kimmel: "Before he was elected to the Senate, Markwayne Mullin was plumber. That's right. We have a plumber protecting us from terrorism now." The elitism of Hollywood summarized in one moment. 👇

Big picture: I'm excited at the idea of stacking another draft class and not mortgaging the future. This sets up for a huge offseason 1 year from now. The more immediate: I hope they have enough to push for a true Super Bowl run this year. Wait and see for the full picture.

**UPDATED** I often get criticized for not taking an “L” on my PRE-DRAFT published evaluations that I’ve “missed on.” The reason is by #NFL standards scouting reports are not officially judged until after 3 seasons and I didn’t jump back into this with both feet until 2021. Next to each name is my pre-draft grade. The biggest lesson I’ve learned in grading college quarterbacks the past four years is if draft media (which is mostly a reflection of league sources) doesn’t love them the way I do, there’s a far less chance they’ll be given opportunities to succeed in the league. Opportunity and organizational belief in a quarterback is just as important as his talent. Each report can be found online by entering “Daniel Kelly and the first and last name of the prospect” —or on my draft site starting in 2023. I will also send link(s) to these scouting reports upon request. Trending hits 📈 (18) PRE-DRAFT GRADES: Trey Lance (UDFA) Zach Wilson (3rd Round) Trevor Lawrence (1st Round) Justin Fields (1st Round) 4-2 with the Steelers in 2024. Kenny Pickett (5th Round) Sam Howell (5th Round) Brock Purdy (didn’t officially put a grade on him but did compare him pre-draft to 2001 NFL MVP Rich Gannon. I said he was better than Kenny Pickett and Sam Howell pre-draft) I also have a YouTube video out there saying he was a better QB than Trey Lance before Purdy went to training camp as a rookie. C.J. Stroud (1st Round) Anthony Richardson (5th Round) Will Levis (7th Round) Malik Willis (1st Round) Filled in nicely for Jordan Love on the Packers last year that’s why he’s on this side of the list Grayson McCall (UDFA) and he is out of football) DJ Irons (7th Round) he is out of football Aidan O’Connell (4th Round) Bryce Young (1st Round) Caleb Williams (4th Round) Bo Nix (1st Round) Drake Maye (1st Round) Trending misses 📉 (7) PRE-DRAFT GRADES: Mac Jones (1st Round) Carson Strong (1st Round) Matt Corral (1st Round) Malik Cunningham (1st Round) currently listed as a WR on Ravens Dorian Thompson-Robinson (2nd Round) John Rhys Plumlee (4th Round) currently listed as WR on Seahawks Jayden Daniels (3rd Round) Two of these Strong and Corral have taught me to dig even harder for pre draft intel. I had no idea how messed up Strong’s knee was or the documented issue Corral had with alcohol. Based on this data: As a former NFL Scout, my current trending NFL Draft QB hit rate: 72% (18/25). I’ve been told by a former Director of Player Personnel who worked in that capacity for an NFL team that “anything above 70% is considered ‘rock star status,’ in the NFL.” I say that humbly, but I do work around the clock (17-20 hours a day 6 days a week average) evaluating and I take pride in my work. There are other quarterbacks I’ve graded that don’t have enough quality data to make either list yet (Kyle Trask (1st Round), Hendon Hooker (1st Round), Tanner McKee (3rd Round), Jake Haener (3rd Round), Devin Leary (5th Round), Jaren Hall (2nd Round), Stetson Bennett (7th Round), Taulia Tagovailoa (4th Round), Sam Hartman (4th Round), Spencer Rattler (1st Round), Jordan Travis (1st Round pre knee injury grade), Michael Penix Jr. (1st Round), Joe Milton III (1st Round), and J.J. McCarthy (5th Round).
