Is anyone else aware that mass market blank t-shirt manufacturing left America?
American Apparel was the last great "Made in the USA" blank t-shirt.
They went bankrupt, sold to a Canadian company, and are made now made in Nicaragua.
Fruit of the Loom moved operations out of America too.
So did Hanes.
We buy from an American vendor who operates in Nicaragua too and produces a product similar to American Apparel quality.
Sticker Mule shirts were originally American Apparel so that was the quality target we wanted to maintain.
Perhaps my team will be the first to bring mass market "Made in America" t-shirts back?
Btw, Nicaragua makes quality blank t-shirts and cigars.
If I move the shirts here, who will move the cigars?

Yes, American Apparel was a great company with CEO (Dov Charney) who was fired for cause because he was abusive to employees.
It’s been reported that Dov Charney openly got blowjobs at work and sexually harassed girls as young as 17.
Why are you promoting him without disclosing that?

Not true. American Apparel founder Dov Charney started another company, Los Angeles Apparel, to make the same shirts. LA Apparel shirts—made in the USA—wholesale for $3. Sticker Mule's $19 shirts are made in Nicaragua. Is there margin in there for a $3 MiUSA shirt?
