The IDF has informed the Israeli cabinet that the air war has reached the limits of its effectiveness in its current form of focusing on military targets. Ron Ben Yishai, Israel's premier military analyst says Israel is considering two paths: 1) Gradual infrastructure degradation. The progressive destruction of bridges, power stations, and transport links to make the regime unable to provide basic services. The downside: it takes time, allows adaptation, and lets Iran continue disrupting oil markets and striking Israel meanwhile. 2) The "Dahiya Doctrine": Ben-Yishai's preferred recommendation. This involves pre-warning civilians to evacuate specific neighborhoods in Tehran, particularly those housing families of senior regime officials and Revolutionary Guard commanders, then completely flattening those areas from the air. He argues making senior IRGC commanders personally homeless and displaced would, in his view, make them far less willing to reject Trump's ceasefire offers. Neither of these options will work. But they are both based on the intentional and massive commitment of war crimes.

🚨 BREAKING: ICE conducted enforcement action at the West Kittanning DMV This is after locals called ICE and posted video of the small rural Pennsylvania office being overrun by apparent recent immigrants applying for driver’s licenses on Good Friday. The normally quiet 2-days-a-week center was packed with long lines of adult men holding paperwork. Hours later, a second photo from the exact same location shows ICE agents in tactical vests pursuing several of those men through the parking lot - some jumping railings and dropping bags. The images match perfectly: same distinctive building, same group of men, same cars, same overcast afternoon. The original video showed calm waiting lines; the follow-up photo captured active enforcement. It looks like local residents raised the alarm on social media, and ICE responded. No official statement yet. Thanks to @Kay__Fitz for the tip. x.com/BroKen_1961/st…

Both Israel and Microsoft must be destroyed.

NASA pays $100M for Microsoft 365 licensing across the agency. They standardized every system on Microsoft. They put Microsoft Surfaces on the Orion spacecraft as the crew's personal computing devices. And the first technical crisis of humanity's return to the Moon was Reid Wiseman radioing Houston to say he has two Microsoft Outlooks and neither one works. Mission Control's response? "With your go, we can remote in and take a look." The same exact workflow your company's IT helpdesk uses when you submit a ticket on a Monday morning. Except the user is traveling at 4,275 mph, 30,000 miles from Earth, and the Wi-Fi situation is considerably worse. This spacecraft survived hydrogen leaks, helium leaks, a faulty heat shield, and a broken toilet. Outlook broke anyway. The toilet actually got fixed faster. The real story here is that Microsoft has achieved something no other software company in history can claim: a support ticket from lunar transit. Their enterprise sales team should frame this. "Battle-tested in space" is a positioning statement most B2B companies would mass murder for, and Microsoft accidentally earned it because Outlook crashes everywhere, including orbit. Outlook remains the only software in human history that performs identically whether you're in a cubicle in Redmond or aboard a spacecraft bound for the Moon. Universally, reliably broken. And we keep buying it anyway.

US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth asked Army Chief of Staff General Randy George to resign and retire immediately — CBS News There are two options: either this is a search for a "scapegoat" for the failure of the war plan against Iran, or Randy George opposed the plans for a ground operation in Iran.

Stopped by the store and bought a rotisserie chicken. Checkout lady was like “we have forks and napkins right over there”. Do…..do I look like I’m just gonna sit in my truck and scarf down an entire rotisserie chicken right out of the bag?!

🦔 Oracle laid off between 20,000 and 30,000 employees Tuesday morning, roughly 18% of its global workforce, via a single email sent at 6am EST with no prior warning. System access was revoked almost immediately after. The cuts are expected to free up $8-10 billion in cash flow. Oracle's stock has lost more than half its value since September 2025 and the company now carries over $124 billion in debt, up from $89 billion a year ago, with free cash flow running negative $10 billion last quarter. My Take Oracle posted a 95% jump in net income last quarter and still eliminated 18% of its workforce by email before most people finished their morning coffee. This is not a company in distress in the traditional sense. It's a company that made an enormous debt-funded bet on AI infrastructure and is now converting its workforce into cash flow to service that debt. We've covered Oracle's AI gamble for months. The $300 billion OpenAI deal through Stargate, $50 billion in capital expenditure this fiscal year, over $124 billion in total debt. Multiple US banks have pulled back from financing Oracle-linked data center projects. Bondholders have sued Oracle claiming it concealed how much additional debt the OpenAI deal would require. The credit default swap spread hit a three-year high earlier this year, meaning debt investors are genuinely nervous about getting paid back. The workers who got that 6am email built the products Oracle has monetized for decades. The bet that eliminated their jobs was made by people who were already paid regardless of how it turns out. That is the part of the AI infrastructure race that doesn't show up in the capex announcements. Hedgie🤗
