Ultimately it makes little difference to me as prior postgames weren't exactly narrative driven. The content plays out the same.

Riders! We’d like to share some more details with you all regarding the recently revealed free update for #MHStories3 coming this summer.
After completing the game, reloading your save file will allow you to take on the ‘Final Battle’ again at a higher difficulty level.
Once you clear this version of the Final Battle, almost all existing monsters will then be able to appear as Royal Monsters across the game’s regions, allowing you to take on even more challenging battles.
Furthermore, you will also be able to take on Royal Monster versions of the Invasive Monsters and Elder Dragons, so prepare your Monsties, strategies and gear for battle!

@monsterhunter It's like you guys AREN'T listening. We want content AFTER the battle, not BEFORE. And we want Simon back on the team with his monsties :/. High level monsters yes, cool and all, but allow us to fight the deviants too.

@Punonym @MidnightBoshi they do narrow it down throughout the fight.
like once you win the head to head with a hammer but dont use the right move, they'll tell you "yeah that's the right approach, just gotta use a different move", at which point you ought to consider looking at the available moves

@Torpedopickle @MidnightBoshi Yes... My hammer didn't have that move and since it was my first time using a hammer I never heard of that move before. It would have been super easy to just say "if only we could hit all of the scales at once to increase or chances of hitting it"

and a couple hours prior to this area, you fight almudron in a mandatory story encounter, who makes the terrain muddy. all the invasive solutions are pretty cut and dry

being able to go anywhere with zero effort doesnt make it a better mechanic

@Torpedopickle @SafsLeKirb Oh no, in comparison to 1&2 the flight mechanic in 3 is just overall shit. Much of the changes in 3 confuse me to why they were implemented, cause a decent chunk of it isn’t great.

@Mordramon Realistic doesn't mean better and adding this many variables and sub systems to what's in essence just moving in a horizontal line to get on top of a ledge is frankly obscenely annoying

having flight be a part of the exploration toolbox rather than just a bypass method is preferable to me.
you still get all the benefits and fun of flying without it being limitless

@Torpedopickle @SafsLeKirb Then they need to design the maps better. Simple as that. You CAN have flight and have a good map design. It does also depend on when you can get it or if you need to put work in for it.
