👟👟 The new generation is so unfamiliar with the craft of journalism that they don’t understand that watching and studying a person’s written and spoken word at every opportunity — especially when the person doesn’t respond to a request for an interview — is not “creepy” but a critical part of gumshoe reporting: understanding a person’s thinking, psychology and priorities.
I can tell you I put 40 hours of reporting and research into writing one story of 1,000 words.

@TortoiseXeno Use of Kishotenketsu is far more in line with being "Right-Wing" because it's a time-old, traditional story structure that is unique to Japanese culture. Use of Western symbolism and concepts is counter-cultural and far more reflective of a liberalised international culture.

@Seano299 If you read carefully, the context is in relation to its' properties of being right wing. So, to the extent that most popular anime (DBZ, Naruto, etc.) is about hero's journey, most of the popular anime are RW-coded. Your commentary is irrelevant or adjacent to that point

@TortoiseXeno No, I think it's a completely different approach to narrative and story structure that is used heavily in Japanese media, anime and manga included. Someone who watches and appreciates Japanese media wouldn't highlight the Hero's Journey as the standout feature of anime.

I have not seen anybody talking about what’s going on in Canada right now. This man was pulled over and told by police that he had to come with them because a psychiatrist labeled him “certifiable.” No paperwork, no rule of law, just a doctor saying that if he didn’t come with him right then and there that he would be arrested. The fact that a government could do this is terrifying.

The problem isn't that it's difficult to get women now. The problem is that heterosexual monogamy is no longer an attractive option for men
When a man finally grows up, he realizes that he's just one powerless individual in a world of billions of other men. He will never achieve the dominion that his will-to-power craves. So (in the past) he instead settled for the minor dominion of Patriarchy: dominion over his small corner of the world, his wife and children and family. Here he can exercise agency, here he can Make A Difference, here he can Leave His Mark
But that's not an option for him anymore. Instead, a man is now submitting to female dominion (literally, by law) when he marries and has children, or even if he just maintains a monogamous relationship without marriage or children. It's the opposite of what he wants (also the opposite of what women want, fwiw)
