No… that’s not a loch. It’s a pothole in North East Fife caused by near 20 years of SNP government. Scottish Labour will dedicate £350 million to fixing our roads - so no more splashing the pedestrians!

@FrancescaLabour @ScottishLabour The education sector remembers the disastrous PFI agreements, and the impact this is having and will continue to have on budgets. Labour ruin everything they touch.

My mum and dad have taught me everything I know about hard work and dedication. Working in education for 40 years each, they know how much we need a change in Inverclyde and how important it is to get rid of the SNP. That means voting @ScottishLabour

@JamieMcGuire__ That’s a bang up copy and paste job you’ve done there, councillor. Can you tell me how Reform will plug the gap left by giving tax breaks to businesses? How will you ensure that the country gets the benefit of this, and that we won’t be exploited by greedy businesses?

From next year, Scottish firms will face a £226.5 million higher tax bill than their counterparts in England. This is due to the business rates policy implemented by the economically illiterate SNP. This is a punitive choice, and it shows the SNP’s complete disregard for the impact on Scottish businesses. Retailers are hit hardest, paying an extra £54 million, with industrial premises and offices also forced to shoulder significantly higher costs. These are not minor differences. They will directly reduce investment, slow business expansion, and cost jobs. The system is deliberately structured to disadvantage growth. Higher rates combined with frozen thresholds drag more firms into expensive tax bands simply for succeeding. The SNP is punishing ambition and penalising businesses for expanding. Which is why Reform UK is committed - as set out in our manifesto - to cutting taxes and supporting business. A competitive, pro-growth economy is central to our vision for Scotland, ensuring that firms can invest, expand and create jobs. Scotland needs @ReformUKScot 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Depressing fess. Friend died very suddenly a couple of months ago. I keep looking at her messages on WhatsApp and looking to see when she was last online. Her husband must be looking at her phone everyday, because she's always online. I don't know how to stop looking.

@endless_europe You mean: – Lifting children out of poverty – Raising the minimum wage – Strengthening workers’ rights – Protecting renters That’s not the warning you think it is. The real question is: after 19 years of SNP control in Scotland, why aren't things better?

This 4-page electioneering pamphlet dropped through my letter box. Not a single mention of which party he represents. Not even in the small print. Google tells me it’s Scottish Labour. Pretty cringeworthy that he feels he has to disassociate himself from his own party.

Scottish pubs are closing at a rate of one a week. Hard-working Katie Long might have to call last orders for good, and axe 26 jobs, because of SNP rates bills. John Swinney should join me to hear directly from Katie in his own constituency. 👇 1/2

@Dr_Gavin_Brewis I’ve been saying this for ages- if you can’t make a profit without underpaying your staff then you don’t have a viable business. It sucks, but that’s just reality.

@PamGosalMSP This I can verify. I ran my own business and employed many people. So many would only work X amount of hours because X+1 would negatively affect their benefits. Why work when you get the money for nowt was the mantra.

Scotland's benefits bill is out of control and it is shocking that 800,000 adults are not in the workforce. We have even heard examples of people refusing pay rises and promotions because this would mean that benefits would be cut. Even though SNP Ministers acknowledged that the best way out of poverty is a job they still defended their broken benefits system 🫣

NHS Ayrshire and Arran is spending over £77,000 a day keeping people in hospital who have no need to be there. Delayed discharge is out of control and if you vote for me and @ScottishLabour on 7 May in Carrick, Cumnock and Doon Valley we will utilise technology and greater investment to deliver where the SNP have failed.

Shame on the SNP for trying to silence me on child poverty. They tried their best to shout me down today at PMQs but failed. The SNP cannot handle the truth that they had 8 years to lift the two child benefit cap - it takes a Labour Government to deliver.
