Not again! I have NOT given my permission to be used in political adverts. This is NOT an endorsement by me in any way. I maintain strict party neutrality and am unhappy at the weaponizing of my reputation in this way. While this isn't as bad as the first terrible representation – which said it this about tax - there's still a misdirection. As I’ve already stated, in that private conversation I was referring to Labour hoping to make a positive change I’ve been campaigning for, but it didn’t want to lock it in the manifesto as it can’t promise to deliver. NO party’s manifesto tells the full story. ALL parties have things they hope to do but that aren’t in manifestos – as they can’t guarantee to deliver. The idea that Labour is an outlier for that is preposterous.
Rishi Sunak@RishiSunak

Labour's manifesto doesn't tell you the full story. 14 hours to stop the Labour supermajority.

Thousands of young trees perish each year in the vital first few months of planting. New Irish tree planting guide, Your Tree Planting Companion, covers selecting the right species, type of soil required, digging the hole and onwards to proper aftercare. teagasc.ie/media/website/…

A mycology expert - sporesforthought - identified the fungus, which is particular to beech, and thought it was probably there as a result of the school fence damaging the roots.

The four mature #trees are part of an avenue of mature trees. So far, four mature trees have been found to be ill.

Sadly there have been signs of fungi for years, and it is not near a building site. I spoke to the Tree Officer who assured me that tests had been carried out and the tree was unsafe.

A brilliant human scarred by a scandal in which she was found to have done nothing wrong. Because being cleared is never as famous as being accused. She was kind and good and better than most of us. And she improved the lives of thousands of children. theguardian.com/society/2024/j…

New Year’s Day talk ⁦@brucecastlepark⁩ with ⁦@TottenhamTrees⁩. Discussing how to read old tree landscapes by recording their fungi & beetles. Decaying wood associated species are hard to find & ID but they are the hidden key to unlocking the secrets of #WoodPasture.

But unlike chainsawing, it can’t happen overnight. Perhaps in 20 years’ time ‘tree coverage’ in our Borough will increase. But the medium-term outlook is for steady reduction in urban greening.

I visited the Oakfield plane to witness @haringeycouncil taking the urban warfare component of the war on nature to a whole new level. 8 security guards ringing the fencing & guard platform up in the tree: jaw dropping to see this Orwellian & destructive waste of taxpayers money

Preserving existing trees is the other part, creating local groups dedicated to the care & protection of all trees in their community is also another, as brilliantly set out by @JustPlaneNews.

Giant Redwood our tree of the month has red, spongy bark. This protects it from the fires that can sweep through its native range. Go up to a tree and give it a gentle punch. #HaringeyFavouriteTrees
