@WeichAndre It’s not terrible you can get to Llandudno junction or Colwyn Bay and it’s a short hop from there

@TourSnooker Is the rail network not as well developed in/to the North? I read somewhere that it is quite laborious to get to Llandudno etc?

Couldn’t disagree more with what Jak Jones said about the Welsh open not feeling like it’s the #WelshOpen due to it not being in the South The North is brilliant and you’ll find Welsh speakers throughout the town, there is far more to this country than the South #snooker

Great to see the morning sessions at Llandudno have been packed out, have to disagree with a couple of the Welsh players comments about the venue, think it's become the perfect venue for the tournament

@pjsuffolk I do agree but I imagine costs are significantly cheaper than a city centre location

@TourSnooker It sort of feels like the spiritual home of the Welsh Open is Cardiff / Newport (in the south). Would make sense to have a different event in Llandudno as Venue Cymru is a fabulous venue in a great location. The Tour champs was there once and it’d be better than Manchester.

@King_al3xander @Quoton And I’ve experienced the same in reverse but it is what it is you get hostile people in all walks of life

@Quoton @TourSnooker North wales are typically hostile to people form south wales I have experienced it first hand.

@Quoton I think it’s because they lack friends and family but as a Welshman I’ve always supported Welsh players regardless of where they are from

@TourSnooker Why do some players feel that? Is there a Welsh north/south divide? From the outside looking in i don’t see why it shouldn’t be in Llandudno, a Welsh town which is firmly established in the snooker consciousness?

@donluigi87 @cruciblecrush I’m from Wrexham and a lifelong fan we hosted international football for years, it is home to the oldest international stadium in the world. There’s not been competitive Welsh game in north wales since 1999 and the rugby team have never played in the North

@TourSnooker @cruciblecrush Wrexham is in north wales once they’ve built up their stadium I’m sure the north will be the only part of wales with premier league football.

They Welsh lads have obviously come together with this view with Page saying something similar now

This isn’t a dig at Jak, for me it sums up sport in Wales it’s Cardiff and the South in general centric. I’ve tracked down to Cardiff for so many events snooker included
