@Monty_Electrics You don't really need that stripy wire one unless the blue one is missing for some reason. It's just a spare I think.

Taylor Swift is among my biggest inspirations… That and Isabelle thought it a wise investment of pocket money a few weeks ago.

@njalbertini @ChombaBupe D-wave's own marketing doesn't ever claim they offer quantum computers for real applications, it's just quantum annealing and then research. They try to suggest it but read closely and you'll see Chomba is right.

@ChombaBupe No... That's not how it works. Look man. I'm sure you're insanely smart with the binary stuff and what you have focused on. But, you really do need to learn this shit too. Assume I'm your friend. I have no ill will toward you. I'm trying to show you something.

Instead of focusing on listening to victims of dv we should also be focussed on listening to perpetrators, and men in general. If we get better at understanding triggers we might get better at reducing dv.We already know that lack of respect underpins the behaviour but that knowledge isn’t really getting us anywhere. Or certainly not fast enough to protect women. We need less ideology and more pragmatism.

@MartinDowds1 @LadyElizabeth61 Sorry to be negative. My sister moved to a flat and her cat hates it even though she can go outside when allowed occasionally. Just seems so much part of their thing to prowl about outside. Maybe those indoor teddy bear cats really wouldn't care. Sleep well when you get there!

@LadyElizabeth61 @MartinDowds1 Around the world there are plenty of people who eat cats as well. Fine but it's not good for the cat and is obviously pretty selfish. Plenty of rescue cats have FIV and can't go outside and no doubt other cats are available that can't. Wouldn't stop one that could.

@MartinDowds1 There are plenty of cat owners, who never let their cat(s) go outdoors. I would suggest you get a covered litter box. There are all sorts of fancy ones these days. Also, if you get two, which is a great idea, get a male & a female, so there won’t be competition & neuter them.

@Monty_Electrics Shiny things on credit is what it's all about so this is a great idea. Just more proof there's nothing the private sector shouldn't own, especially children's education.

@CurrentEnSol @BBCBreaking What kind of filters are you running that let you think this is a "graphic image" for twitter? I've seen worse than I ever imagined possible on here in recent months and none of it involved a slightly redened horse 😅

@TowpathTim @Trollstoy88 Perhaps... however, I would argue that, too, for one simple point... Any major conflict of the future will not last years... That said, it takes years to build out, tool up, and begin building sub classes... with an estimated 5 to 7 years build time with modern advancements...

Russia is producing the newest Amur E600 submarine powered by lithium-ion batteries and a small diesel generator as a backup. It has a displacement of only 600 tons and it can stay underwater for up to 17 days due to the use of lithium-ion batteries. In comparison, the conventional diesel-electric submarine can stay underwater for about 2 days, and then simply has to surface to recharge the batteries and replace the air. As a result, it need to unmask yourself. The new submarine can hide under water for 2-3 weeks without surfacing.

@marcus_walters @Trollstoy88 The ability to produce large numbers of any sort of unit in war on the assumption many will be lost should be foundational in developing new sorts of unit in relative peacetime.

@TowpathTim @Trollstoy88 If in wartime, there is an argument, they are too slow and expensive to produce... fair enough. However, in peacetime, they are more of a wasted investment. Comparatively, a nuclear sub will provide drastic cost savings if lasting to expected operational lifespan...

@Trollstoy88 Compared to any Nuclear Sub that can stay under water for months and run silent... kinda worthless... The US has subs that can stay under 120 to 180 days depending on the rationing of stores... and mission requirements...

@marlow_photo @TheSolarShed Guano can clog gutters and can also build up on the roof, holding so much moisture that the roof leaks between tiles and the felt behind rots.

Unusually, we've seen a big uptick in birds nesting under panels. Used to get 3 or 4 calls a yr, now it's 3-4 a month. So as of now, all systems we fit will have bird guard as standard, and not on a case by case bases. Some systems, such as slate roofs with solar limpets NEVER get them, but anything with a metal roof hook appears to be in play. Nesting material is easily lodged on flat metal fixings. And that's the place where nests are found.

@electrician_247 @ajhackwood @DpawsonGas @JordeeBrompton @ArtElectrics Failing to provide DC charging for PV seems crumby for a renewables tech company. I tried to find out the % energy lost to inverting DC to ac to supply the charger and rectifying it back to actually charge the battery. Zilch. Is it cost or incompetence/not caring do you think?

Which company in the space has absolutely nailed it for everything ?? Customer service, tech, scale, install, warranties. Talking £60m+ turnover businesses. Not newbies just entering the space with 3 customers. Which companies can we learn from?

@electrician_247 @StemShow @jesseb4me @CB_electrics @Neilsby @eu_bike Now you’re posting empty bluster in a facile attempt to attack me rather than actually discussing the topic at hand. We all know what that means. 😎 I can’t imagine what prompted you to get that desperate?
Synchronicity@Synchronicity34

@StemShow @electrician_247 @jesseb4me @CB_electrics @Neilsby @eu_bike I definitely don’t understand why you would literally spend days trying to whip up fears over a process used by millions for over a decade with zero injuries anywhere? I guess there must be a reason for that? I wonder what it is? 🤔

This nob thinks that a YouTube video from some random begging for clicks is “evidence” and can’t imagine in that space between his ears anyone using a van differently to him? Change is a scary thing for a certain group of people I guess? Has he considered counselling? 🤔

@djuric_zlatko Being an infantryman in this day and age is suicidal. The killing technology has far outpaced the defensive technology. This reminds me of the Brits doing repeated waves of frontal attacks against automatic machine guns. You won't see politicians' sons & daughters enlisting.
