This is the least amount of Overwatch I’ve played in 10 years, balance is just rough…
The game should only be balanced around mid masters and above, I promise you metal ranks won’t tell a difference.

@pachimoons @stottpie No but that’s genuinely good advice. In bad tank matchups you can just play around the tank. Also if Zarya ever has no bubbles you can just blow her up

@BladeslashOW @SamitoFPS To me the problem is that I don’t see 6v6 having a future past it’s current iteration and the mode to me atleast suffers heavily from being the secondary mode that people just don’t take that seriously

@SamitoFPS Long run I would love to see if T4 gets enough people to have a separate (and likely smaller) team be dedicated to 6v6 similar to league with Summoners Rift and Aram

@SamitoFPS Separate balancing just means that they will split resources and while I think blizz is doing a fine job with 6v6 it’s still clear that the format is neglected. Also because of 6v6 being a ”secondary” mode it’s competetive integrity is kind of questionable which doesn’t help

@SamitoFPS Two formats isn’t sustainable because they will forever have unequal treatment from the devs due to priority being given to the one that has higher engagement. 6v6 and 5v5 are different enough that they need separate balancing.

@_SaturnOW_ How would a preffered role q work? Like if you manually select a role people just hit all or whatever gives them the shortening queue times and if it’s automatic based on your playtime then we’re still gonna either have queue time issues or match quality issues

@DevinDtv The game definitely shouldn’t be only balanced for bad players, but they should be kept in mind. The problems mainly seem to arise on some more misu derstood heroes like dva where you just have to be careful that you don’t nuke a character from like masters and down

Balancing around bad players is like if some people have bad posture when they walk, so you give everyone shoes that are sloped to compensate. Except you can't make individual shoes for each person so the shoes are all sloped the same way, even though each person has their own unique flaws.
And then when each person fixes their posture, they're stuck with shoes that make it painful to walk correctly.

balancing around low rated players should be a joke, not something people seriously discuss as if it's a plausibly good idea (it's not), let alone ACTUALLY WHAT BLIZZARD DOES

Dva is like the first time I have sort of understood the balance team’s dilemma with balancing for casuals vs pros cause if your neurological pathways are linked to your hands that character is literally mecha thanos but if you’re just casual af she’s not nearly as broken

@Killersmart3 Depends on the nerf. Like the booster cd nerf doesn’t change anything for the sniper dva but survivability nerfs which are probably the modt needed for higher ranks definitely do, because in low ranks people just face tank
