A lot of faithful Catholics who are much brighter than I are confused by this. Barron seems to claim that it’s the Trump admin or Putin’s govt who gets to decides what is a just war? So what about the many popes who’ve declared specific wars unjust, eg JPII & Iraq or Leo & Iran?

It's good to see the restoration of the crucifix in southern Lebanon, as well as jail time for the perpetrators. More significant jail time, as well as court-martials, would be ideal. But in any case, the swift action is appropriate and encouraging.

The Northern Command worked to coordinate the replacement of the statue from the moment it received the report of the incident. The IDF expresses deep regret over the incident, and is working to ensure that it does not happen again in the future.

@barsik22 @Lebabomb @AlshabakaLB That is misleading. In neither the 2006 War nor the current war did the Lebanese state support the Zionist entity. In fact, on both occasions, Lebanese Army soldiers were killed by the Israeli Occupation Forces.

So you get defensive and you call someone a bitch when they point something out about something related to Muslims but when somebody talks about Jews, you pile on. The Israeli gov go after terrorists and what they did in Palestine was a response to October 7; it doesn’t reflect on Jewish or Israeli citizens. You’re saying Muslims aren’t any worse when they commit more crimes and more terrorism and kill more Christians by far across the world. The worst thing you can show that Jewish civilians do is spit on people. And these are very rare instances.
