@stevemagness We had a blast doing that with our family! Our kids and athletes were also exposed to larger venues and events that helped them handle more stressful sports situations when they were older. Nothing was a big deal to them. And when they were young, they just thought it was fun!!

If you’d like to read more thoughts on how to save youth sports, here you go. I was a phenom athlete, who’s spent his life working with elite athletes across sports. We need to do better with youth sports. It’s important: thegrowtheq.com/how-to-save-yo…

Can someone explain why some 10 year old needs to travel hundreds of miles for competition that they almost certainly could have found locally? Travel leagues for youth sports should be banned.

The kids who come to college used to being motivated by mom, dad, or coach often don’t make it. That motivation works in the short term, but it quickly fades. To be successful over the long haul, we all need motivation that comes from deep within: thegrowtheq.com/quit-trying-to…

Anyone who discourages an athlete from playing multiple sports does not have that athletes best interests in mind. End of story.

This reel is based on a study comparing quarter, half, and full squat training and their transfer to sprint performance. (Rhea et al., Human Movement, 2016). In that study, quarter squats produced the greatest improvement in 40-yard sprint time, while the full squat group

What we cover: meet results, performances, Personal Records (PRs), official placements, recognized rankings, and local achievements. What we don’t: coaching, athlete or program critique, creating rankings, or recruiting. Our role is to report and recognize — not to compare.

To everyone saying “just move!” I understand the sentiment but IMHO NYC is the greatest American city that has lost its way. I want to fight for truth and love. I don’t want to give in to insanity and darkness. This is still America.

It’s happened many times now living in NYC… yet another basketball game today where my middle school daughter is guarding an obviously naturally born boy in a girls tournament. The parents cheer while the boy is physical and dominant against the girls. The all girls team loses.

@JenniferSey That’s actually an inaccurate statement, Jennifer. Caster is intersex, which is very sad—still unfair for competition against females but Caster is not a man.

One of the worst running form cues there is: Lift your knees! You hear it way too often in team sports & youth track meets...

Good morning. I went to church today for the first time in a couple of months. I was sad that the name of Charlie Kirk was not mentioned a single time. Other tragedies were mentioned. But at this particular Catholic church, nothing about Charlie. What were they afraid of?
