TfL still won’t turn the live data back on, but you can now go to your TrainTrackr settings page and there’ll be a new option to automatically display pre-recorded data if the live source has issues. Finally, all my LEDs are lit again!

@appletimtri When you select alternate data it replaces all the data on the board with data from a previous day. Currently we are going back 8 weeks, we'll add a note to the board settings page so it's clear what data you are seeing.

@TrackrTrain if I may ask, how does the new feature function? Does it work separately for the different lines (e.g. DLR & Elizabeth can show live data while the others are pre-recorded)? And could we maybe get a small text in the settings with the date the recorded data is from?

Transport for London shut off (almost) all public live train data access a month ago after a security breach, and TrainTrackr @TrackrTrain developed a whole new feature that allows us to play pre-recorded data on our LED circuit boards so they can finally light up again! Thanks!!

@theneilpowell We're waiting for TFL to resolve their cybersecurity issue, but they haven't given us a timeframe for this.

@frixster @katebevan @TfL TFL say they are working on this as a priority, but we don't have an estimate on when it will be fixed yet.

@peteransell TFL haven't given us a date for their fix, we're just hoping it's sorted soon.

@TrackrTrain Why aren’t you giving us info on when the TFL data will be restored? Even if you don’t know, communicate!

@poggs @davedisasterman We don't have any live data from TFL while they are sorting out their current cybersecurity issues. As soon as TFL resolve their issues we'll be back.

@gifford_head @opinion8ed_dyke @itsdavegreen We have a DIY version of our first (white led) UK and Ireland Rain trackr, 338 LEDs and various supporting components.

@TrackrTrain @opinion8ed_dyke @itsdavegreen Yes! I've made one of those blinking LED "supercomputer" panels which had 271 LEDs and that was quite relaxing mostly because the kit came with the resistors pre-soldered!
