Jese SPY can you just hit ATHs so we can be over with this?! Literally the most unenthusiastic reach to ATHs that I’ve seen.

@MichaelPBento It’s all just technical trading to reach ATHs. Doesn’t matter that extending the ceasefire two more weeks will crush global markets

@jeffb724 @AJENews China gets discounted oil from Iran, around 10% to 15% of its total oil imports. Also, 40-50% of China’s oil comes through the Strait of Hormuz. Iran is blocking that oil. Now the US is blocking Iranian oil. So that’s a boatload of oil that China is not getting.

Iranian Air Force launched strikes on  U.S bases An image that emerged from the wreckage at the U.S. base in Kuwait shows an unexploded FAB bomb, evidencing that Iran used its air force to bomb American bases. There are no debris from downed Iranian aircraft in Kuwait, which leads me to imagine that the actions were executed successfully. In another episode, the Iranian Air Force also attacked Qatar. Doha’s version is that they intercepted the aircraft performing a low-altitude flight, at only 80 feet over the sea, before they could release their bombs. It is most likely they were shot down by Qatari F-15s while executing the release maneuver or immediately after it. Qatar stated they were 2 minutes away from Al Udeid Air Base, which leads me to believe they were simply seeking more altitude for the launch In other words, the Iranian Air Force was attacking at least two American bases in the Gulf with Su-24MK aircraft, in a manner very similar to what the Ukrainians do. What everyone thought were only missiles and drones hitting U.S. bases may reveal other IRIAF actions in more Gulf countries. It is estimated that Iran had over 25 Su-24MK/Su-25UBK in the pre-war period and still maintains a good portion of this fleet protected in bunkers, as well as its F-14s, F-5s, YAK-130s, and MiG-29s. With the exception of the Yak-130, which is a more recent project, it is an ancient air force, yet courageous and still operational. Obviously, it is no match for the coalition’s more modern aircraft; therefore, Iran is limiting its operations in a joint strategy with short-range anti-aircraft systems to inhibit rotary-wing action over their territory. My sense is that if there isn’t anything concrete regarding the negotiations with Iran tomorrow or early Thursday, the market might reverse hard. I could also be incorrectly rationalizing this NQ short that I shouldn’t have bought end of day yesterday….

@TraderBerns Also there is a time limit on Trump's war powers that is approaching in 2 weeks. Congress will need to approve for war to continue.

I feel like the picture is incomplete. US media say negotiations are likely to happen. Trump says the war could be over. Vance says Iran wants a deal. Iran has not said anything about negotiations but there is indication that mediators are continuing. Israel and the Lebanese government agree that Hezbollah must be removed. Russia says it could take the enriched uranium. China demands hostilities end immediately. The US is amassing more soldiers and supplies in the region. The US is blockading the strait and threatening more sanctions on Iran and China. Iran is digging out missile launchers and bunkers. Netanyahu’s corruption trial will start when the conflict is over. Am I crazy to think that a deal might not be possible?

A Chinese Vessel passed the Strait of Hormuz today. This specific ship is sanctioned by the U.S. government. Trump’s navy didn’t even try to stop it. It’s clear who controls the Strait 🇮🇷

Like was this another false pump to the markets but one that was way more strategically planned that pulled in Vance and different media figures? There’s one more week until the ceasefire. Could they be trying to pump the market to the sky so that when hostilities begin it would stay elevated? Or truly believe that the US could defeat Iran and regain the strait swiftly enough that the markets won’t crash?
