This week, and this month tbh, should teach you that you don't NEED to trade all the time, let the best trades come to you and you can actually live better AND earn more money than those who sit in front of their multi-minor setup all day and night trying to take scraps to justify all the time they're putting in.
Trading does NOT have to be time-intensive, especially in choppy markets like this so be sure to adapt to the market and don't try to moose your will on it like too many degenerate gamblers do...don't waste your life away as I actually outperformed bigtime lately by trading less! #qualityoverquantity

This post is great. A few weeks ago I was journaling and thought the same thing to myself - why am I not taking more advantage of the freedom that comes with this? Trying to do one fun thing throughout the day to remind myself of what freedom really means.
Enjoy your trip, Brian! Hope you're doing well

Last week I booked a last-minute flight and stay in Cabo less than 12 hours to take-off because I was freezing my ass off at home, feeling like a “hostage” to the market.
I forgot my swimming trunks and had to buy 2 of them for an eye-watering $450 USD (still wtf’ing at Grand Velas boutique)…
And STILL, it was much cheaper than sitting around grinding it out when the market wasn’t there for me.
Trading is one of the few professions where you can literally lose vacations/cars/houses etc AND, more importantly, TIME simultaneously while “working”.
And so, I often think to myself if I’m so willing to part ways with my trading PNL, then why not just spend that on something tangible.
I remember one of my biggest losing days in 2021, I decided to just buy the watch I wanted instead of waiting to feel “good” about my PNL.
Our perspectives warp when we stare at numbers and desensitize ourselves to the true ups and downs.
Whenever I spend the money it grounds me, “this is what this is worth”. Whenever I’m able to tip generously, especially in areas where the dollar goes farther, I feel more connected to my pursuit of trading for a living.
Serendipitously making someone’s day with an outlier tip is one of my favorite things to do. Extremely hard working people who don’t get appreciated often, meanwhile we lose their salaries in pajamas… it’s madness.
I just want to point out that I know people feel it, but don’t act on it. Try to exercise some of your freedoms as a trader and realize it’s okay to step away whenever you want and you don’t need permission to just do what you want when you want.
You’ll probably come to so similar conclusions for yourself.

Finally getting some consistency back in my trading. Currently 3 days into a 5 day fast, and I feel at peace with myself. Less FOMO, better trading, really the perfect reset. Wrote about it + recapped today, read it here:

Give props to tim.ly/circle lead trainer @Stratataaa on all the great work/mentoring he does with Inner Circle Students, but also on his +$30,000 week in a tough tough market thanks to $MOVE and now $BNAI and when I congratulated him he said "Yeah but we got a long way to go" so he has the right mentality too!
Perhaps more importantly, he's working on his basketball game so he doesn't embarrass himself in front of @TraderBryce @mono_trader & @JohnCARL_510 at the next Inner Circle meetup again so please retweet this and congratulate him on winning on multiple fronts, even though he doesn't want any congratulations as he's busy working on improving his trading process and his basketball game!

Here are some great photos from my tim.ly/circle meetup in Las Vegas and I’m just SO GRATEFUL to the entire group, from the mentors like @Stratataaa @DonJuanKnows @JohnCARL_510 @TraderBryce @Jackaroo_Trades Ben & Scottie to all the students who put in so much time and effort to learn the art of trading, it’s an amazing feeling having such a hardworking and positive community in an industry full of of lazy degenerate gamblers, where the vast majority lose most or all of their money due to lack of preparation, discipline or hard work.
Make no mistake, successful trading IS possible through diligence, determination and patience and while so far we only have a few tim.ly/circle members like Terry And Linda who have cracked the $100,000 profit milestone, I have no doubt several of these students will soon be trading millionaires as boring daily habits add up and preparation + opportunity = success over time! #ilovemyjob #proudteacher #stocktrading

Some of our traders are experiencing this as well. Here are some of the lessons our traders have learned:
1) Commodities do not trade like equities. You need a separate PlayBook for each.
2) When learning a new product, earn your risk. Do not trade it with the same risk as your equities PlayBook, where you have a history of success. Prove you can trade the new product consistently. Add risk from success.
3) This is NOT the market to be playing for a Grand Slam.
4) Do not cede your structural edge in the market. As active traders, we can enter and exit much easier than bigger players. Book profits. You can always reenter.
5) Do not miss what you do best, hawking a new product.
6) Past success doesn't have to continue. Adjustments must be made in different market regimes and new products.
7) Being in your seat for the easy market is how you really get rich. Do not let hard markets, bad traders keep you from being around for those easy markets.
8) Shark and Druckenmiller push risk when they are trading well and making money. When in a drawdown there should be only one focus- consistency.
This is a tough market. There have been some trading products, if playing for a grand slam. But if you are learning a new product and learning from this drawdown, this will make you a better trader:
a) your PlayBook will be more comprehensive.
b) your ability to trade more products will pay dividends in the future.
c) you will reinforce the importance of building your trading business within market principles and guardrails.
d) your trading skills will improve.
Often the hardest markets, bad trading products, most painful trading times, propels elite traders to even new heights. We have seen that on our desk. They key is learning, making adjustments, and staying in the game.
Here is to many years of future trading success.

Jokes aside, this is the worst drawdown I’ve experienced in dollar amount, percent off the highs, and length of time in all of my trading career. I’m practically speechless how difficult it’s been getting any kind of gain bigger than the losers I’m taking. I do have some swings in the background working but nothing close to level of inconsistency I’m having on every other strategy. Long term I’ll work my way out of it but for now, holy shit this is something else.

It’s been a GREAT tim.ly/circle student meetup here in Las Vegas with several millionaire traders like @Stratataaa @JohnCARL_510 @TraderBryce and upcoming millionaire traders like @DonJuanKnows helping mentor upcoming traders, but we also have a message for @Jackaroo_Trades who’s made $25+ million now, but looks down on taking $50,000-$400,000 profits…
