Nowhere did I say Warsh was neutral. I said he reset the Fed’s bias and removed forward guidance. His bias is clearly toward cutting sooner rather than later. Also, you came across as someone I probably wouldn’t enjoy spending time with. Are you normally like that, or did I just catch you on a bad day?

Warsh is executing this brilliantly. The Fed is stripping away the roadmap markets have spent years front-running. No promised cuts. No implied hikes. No predetermined balance-sheet path. No assumption that ample reserves are permanent. Forward guidance is being removed. The operating framework is being reopened. Optionality is being restored. That means markets will have to trade the economy in front of them, not the Fed rescue they expect six months from now. No easing bias. No tightening bias. A truly neutral Fed. This is how credibility gets rebuilt.

Why Earth is Waller talking about inflation the day before the June print...? What he's saying is also very misleading... "Broad", sure, kinda, sorta. Material? Not at all. Non-energy CPI inflation has barely ticked higher when measured on a YoY basis.

@hitmewithmusic1 Something breaks Fed is forced to flood the system to keep the music playing. Difference will be how long QE continues will be an unknown, it will not be telegraphed when it ends or is reduced nor when rates are raised.
