You know we are all interested in seeing accountability being administered by the people who committed fraud against us and the people who hurt Trump. We believe accountability is decessary to stop it. We also know Democrats continue to commit their fraud to save illegals voting and we know Congress is complicit. We have no trust in the institution called Congress.

Social Security is a tax. Not insurance. Not a trust fund. Not a retirement savings plan. The Supreme Court has ruled so. Even so, the fact is that there are fewer and fewer workers to support retirees, which is why the government has to “borrow” (print) money, which causes inflation and adds to national debt. I don’t give a fuck whether you want your money back or not, Social Security an economically unsustainable Ponzi scheme. “Conservatives” always yammer about how socialism sucks and that you are not entitled to other people’s money, but if you mention that Social Security is essentially the same thing, the geezers suddenly become the biggest fans of it.

I have been clear from the start: the U.S. Attorney’s Office criminal investigation into Chair Powell was a serious threat to the Fed’s independence, and it needed to end before I could support Kevin Warsh’s confirmation. I welcome the Inspector General's investigation. This is a necessary and appropriate measure, and I have confidence it will be conducted thoroughly and professionally.   I take the Department of Justice at its word: the investigation is closed, and any appeal of Judge Boasberg’s ruling will be with respect to legal principles and not for the purpose of reissuing subpoenas. Only a criminal referral from the inspector general would cause a reopening of the investigation.   With these assurances, I look forward to supporting Kevin Warsh’s confirmation. He is an outstanding nominee, and it is time for the Federal Reserve to move beyond this distraction and return its full attention to its mission.

Housing costs are out of control. We need to build more homes in the places people want to live. That means clearing roadblocks, cutting unnecessary red tape, and making it easier to get shovels in the ground so families can find a safe, affordable place to call home.

Although we don’t yet have the details about the motives behind last night's shooting at the White House Correspondents Dinner, it’s incumbent upon all us to reject the idea that violence has any place in our democracy. It’s also a sobering reminder of the courage and sacrifice that U.S. Secret Service Agents show every day. I’m grateful to them – and thankful that the agent who was shot is going to be okay.
