With the primary math and unemotional analysis done, I have some human thoughts on Trae Young getting traded: 7.5 years in, it's hard to see a player leave a team and city he's meant to so much to. The Hawks and Young didn't win a title, but you don't have to do that to cement a legacy. Things run their course, especially in sports, but it's still sad to see a special player who meant a lot to Atlanta and Hawks moving on.

Fun fact NO one ever brings up when discussing Trae Young…He’s 8 seasons into the NBA. He’s been to the Eastern Conference Finals and NBA playoffs 3 time with no All-Star teammate.
