@ChimeWhistle @CrossCountryUK will be the last to go public anyway, but where will the rolling stock magically appear from on the day they go? XC has always been the poor relation, even in BR days they got the HSTs last had to make do with MK2 stock and loco hauled trains.

Operational staff (drivers, train managers, planners etc) are great and are doing their best under the most trying of circumstances. They are as frustrated as passengers about decisions made in Westminster and by higher management.

@Hrushworth Rolling electrification is a massive failure by successive governments especially the line to Swansea from Cardiff, GWML to Oxford, from Newbury to Exeter and the line via Bath.

So... Blackpool North. My lord the rumours were true. 8 RPOs at the platform, 1 asked to see my ticket, decides to claim that it was dated for tomorrow just to panic me and only when he gets a reaction... let's me go. Great introduction to the place 🤣

DfT has backed down. On 19/3 RMT said GW was not able to make pay offer in time for pay anniversary. GW was on the verge on joining Northern,LNER,TPE,GTR, Chiltern and GA who had all registered disputes. The DfT has now relented and given GW a mandate to talk.Meeting is on 9/4.

A senior rail union source has told me that they believe operators have been told by the DfT that they can open pay discussions with both unions, after Easter.

@DanielTrainsUk @ChimeWhistle @WestMidRailway If only the line from Wolverhampton to Snow Hill had been rebuilt as heavy rail, Chiltern might have considered introducing a service from Shrewsbury to London when the Kidderminster services were introduced.

📢 #WMRNEW - Delays on the Snow Hill line. 🟠 Due to a car striking a bridge at Lye, a safety assessment needs to take place to see if service is safe to run. There will be delays and alterations as the situation unfolds. ℹ️ More information to come.

@iamtomskinner If we’d of nationalised the stuff like Norway did back in the 60s we probably would have cheaper fuel and flog it elsewhere more expensive.

I’d like to know all your opinions in the comments? I’ve just paid £1.70 a litre for diesel. Why are we not opening up our gas and oil field in the North Sea? Surely by opening these and sourcing from our own reserves, we will bring our prices of fuel down, energy costs down, create jobs, bring revenue and tax into the UK economy that can be spent on the roads, the NHS, UK services and schools. We continue to source our fuel from abroad and it makes no sense to me! We should be backing our UK manufacturing and not let it go abroad! We live in very uncertain times especially what’s going on in the Middle East. Love to hear your opinion, let’s back Britain 🇬🇧 - Bosh ❤️

@Heidi_Labour This is fantastic, I’ve lost count the amount of times I go to scan tickets and I see pages and pages of refunds for the same journey day after day.

Today's day starts at 04:51, a few trips back and forwards to Nuneaton, joined by our lovely revenue protection team. I'm sure they'll catch a few today.

Hi @TLRailUK it looks like a parent's bag was stolen and ransacked on your train. This was 12:27 from Abbey Wood to Luton. Was like this for 45 mins. No staff to report to. Hopefully what's left can be reunited with them. Medicine, books, nappies and clothes all over

This is @Tesco Ollerton. At the beginning of the week diesel was 150p, hiked up from the previous week. At lunchtime today it was 154p. This afternoon 156.9p. Its just one of many. So all power to @RachelReevesMP to stop this blatant profiteering.

@Northern_Travel I saw a 5 car that was empty yesterday. Not every service needs to be 9 carriages. 7/8 will suffice.

There will be a long list of requests a mile long when Great British Railways officially comes into fruition. One thing that definitely need to happen, is private or public finance used for new 9 car units on cross-country, so to avoid standing on a 4 car like this afternoon.
