The labor of Black trans women matters. Valuing Black trans women's lives necessitates providing a living wage. "Stipends" and "internships" for Black trans women in poverty only perpetuates subsistence, exploitation and oppression. #BlackLivesMatter #BlackTransLivesMatter

So when JK says that "woman" is based in biological reality, she really means *her own* biological reality as a white cis woman. Her privileged "woman" is cis-only, and it is threatened by the idea that trans womanhood is just as valid as cis womanhood.

If you only show up to remember the dead, then you are too late. How are you supporting Black trans women while they are alive?

@leftytgirl When looking at violence against women, imprisonment itself inflict wholesale violence on women. While it's false to claim trans women are a threat to 225,000 women in U.S. prisons/jails, it's a fact each of these women are experiencing violence from the carceral system itself.

I honestly think "radical feminists" would be more successful if they advocated narrowly on keeping people like this out of women's prisons. But they don't, because they don't care. They just want to use stuff like this to vilify trans women as a whole, and it isn't subtle.
