IAS Officer Dr.Madhav Kusekar has been appointed as the new Chairman and Managing Director of the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC). He has replaced Mr.Shekhar Channe who has retired from the service recently.

Maharashtra's Motor Vehicle Department is going to add 187 more interceptor vehicles in the existing fleet of 76 vehicles in order to enhance road safety and reduce the number of fatal accidents. They will be fitted with speed guns and others gadgets for faceless enforcement.

@msrtcofficial has decided to start a campaign to ensure the cleanliness of their buses operated within the state. The ST Corporation has also decided to fix the responsibility of cleanliness on the depot managers and impose a fine of ₹. 500/- per bus.
