The Government can help lower the cost of public EV charging by changing archaic 1994 VAT legislation written before electric cars were even prototypes. This tax law isn’t fit for purpose and unfairly penalises those on low incomes. Cut the VAT on public charging from 20% to 5%. @fairchargeuk will be presenting a letter to the Chancellor soon.
