When the Primary Cancer Diagnosis landed writing about it seemed a ghoulish prospect, but after the Secondary Diagnosis — now I know this will be with me until the end of days — I plan to write a book: ‘Battle Cry: On Cancer, Conflict, and the Writing Cure’.

Shocked and saddened to hear that yet again, another comedian who for years, acted like an absolute creep turned out to be an absolute creep. It's really beginning to erode my faith in creeps in general.

I was diagnosed with cancer three weeks ago and will start my first chemotherapy cycle next week. Active treatment will last at least a year. I'm more grateful than I can say to NHS Bristol — and to the people who stood by me during the trials by ordeal of the last few years.
