It’s disingenuous to say that we’ve known for 9 months this would happen as we only met with St Helens council officers in December and they said we would have to contribute something but had no idea what that was until March. We asked is it £1k,£5k or£10k a year? They said 🤷

Thank you for your tenacity in pursuing this @rocketsrainhill & exposing the lies that the Labour deputy leader is peddling. It is an unbelievable situation for a Parish Council to be targeted like this by the leader of the council and his deputy whilst negotiations are ongoing.

@davesargent @davidebaines @dstewart80 @StHLabour @sthelenscouncil @RMTunion @northernassist To clarify; the Parish Council took income from the Open Age team to rent the pitches. Whilst paying nothing to cover the maintenance of those fields they rented out. That’s a profit. I genuinely don’t understand the confusion on this. Or why it’s only an issue in Rainhill.
