Video circulating shows a buyer stuck at checkout after paying cash for an EBT card that was totally empty.
Buying or selling food stamps for cash isn’t just illegal—it’s a major scam risk.
How it happens:
—Trafficking: Selling SNAP benefits at a discount for cash.
—Scams: Buyers get ripped off with drained or fake cards.
—Skimming & Phishing: Thieves clone cards or trick users out of PINs.
How we fix it:
1️⃣ Chip EBT Cards: Replace magnetic stripes with EMV chips.
2️⃣ App Card Locks: Let users lock cards until at checkout.
3️⃣ Photo ID / Biometrics: Enforce ID verification for redemptions.

Breaking into a store with a gun is one thing. Getting locked inside by the employees is a whole different level of failure.
A man walked into a cell phone store, pulled a handgun on employees, and demanded money. Instead of freezing, the employees calmly escaped, locked him inside the store, and called police.
Once he realized he was trapped, the panic set in. He tried $hooting at the door lock, throw!ng himself against the reinforced door, and repeatedly called out to be let out, insisting he wouldn't take anything. None of it worked.
Police arrived a short time later and took him into custody without further incident.
He later pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon and was sentenced to five years in prison.

Are you KIDDING?!?! Prosecutors just dismissed one of the key charges against a man accused of sho0ting a guy in the head.
Parish Killian was riding with his son Ryan on the outer loop near Charlotte, NC when another driver cut them off.
Ryan honked twice. The other driver, later identified as Dailyn Kevin Young, 23, maneuvered to the right side of their vehicle and fired.
Killian was struck in the head. His son has said it is a miracle he survived.
Young was arrested in July and charged with two counts of attempted first-degree m*rder and two counts of discharging a weapon into occupied property.
He remains held without bond. The district attorney’s office has now dismissed one of the discharge-weapon counts.
A man who allegedly opened fire on a family on the interstate is already seeing charges reduced.
What message does that send about accountability??
